Demonstration gegen Präventivkriege
mit anschließender warprofit.com-Party
Am 11. Dezember 2004 findet in Nürnberg eine Demonstration gegen Präventivkriege mit anschließender warprofit.com-Party statt, welche von den Initiatoren des Blutölkartenspiels veranstaltet wird.
Wie auch im Kartenspiel ist die Intention der Veranstaltung Verbreitung von Information und Aufklärung über weltweite Missstände. Nicht nur im Irak und den USA verschärft sich die Situation, sondern auch in der "freien Welt" findet ein schleichender Abbau der demokratischen Grundwerte und eine Zunahme der Gewalt statt (jüngstes Beispiel ist die Eskalation in den Niederlanden).
Die Demonstration, zu der bundesweit aufgerufen wird, steht unter dem Motto "Kein Blut für Geld". Sie hat ihren Auftakt um 15:00 Uhr vor der Lorenzkirche, führt durch die Nürnberger Innenstadt mit Abschlusskundgebung in der Strasse der Menschenrechte (Kartäusergasse) und wird begleitet von Informationsständen verschiedener Organisationen sowie Performances von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern.
Im Anschluss daran findet in der Galerie im Z-Bau (Frankenstr. 200, Haltestelle Hiroshimaplatz) eine warprofit.com-Party mit Podiumsdiskussion (ab 18:00 Uhr) statt.
Die Podiumsdiskussion thematisiert den Anti-Terror-Kampf der wiedergewählten US-Regierung sowie die Abkehr von der Rechtsstaatlichkeit und der Menschlichkeit weltweit.
Gegen 20:00 Uhr ist eine Benefizveranstaltung mit mehreren Bands und DJs (DJ Shark und Mighty MoJo) vorgesehen.
Der Unkostenbeitrag für die warprofit.com-Party beträgt 4,- Euro.

warprofit.com presents: bloodoilcards
Released in July 2004, this is the first European card game that uncovers the background relations of a bloody war for oil and power in Iraq, and illuminates the linkages between the economy and the policies of the US government.
In contrast to and complementary to similar games from the USA, the blood-oil card game - available in German and English - includes both the worldwide perpetrators and victims.
The higher cards of the four poker deck suits represent different interest groups of perpetrators:

the US government with its contacts to the economy |

US-secret services and their strategy of "Rebuilding America´s Defenses" and the "Plan of Attack" |
 |
profiting global players, as well as the "Coalition of the (Un-)willing" from Egypt, via Nicaragua to South Korea |
The lowest cards stand for the respective "victims of the circumstances": they show the victims of the war in Iraq and of the torture in Guantanamo and Abu Ghureib, as well as the impact of the Patriot Act in the US, the violation of human rights and the demise of the free America.
warprofit.com is a non-profit information project. The initiators seek to network journalistic research and retrieve it from the daily information overload by presenting it in a compact game format. The group distances itself from conservative, radical or conspiratory theories.
The intention is to spread this information worldwide. Therefore, the card game is distributed under the Creative Commons License and is available as a free download (.pdf) in English and German (additional translations are in work). A print version in card game quality can be ordered for a nominal charge of 5,- €.
This is an open-ended project: current developments will be observed and integrated in the sources published on the internet (editorial deadline for the 1st edition: June 2004).
